What Jesus Taught us

The Two Sons

There was a man with two sons.

One of the sons said, "Father, give me what is mine now.
I want to leave here and I need money."

Pretty soon, the man had divided the land and gave the son the money and he left.
The father was so upset that the son left.

The son soon spent all his money and got a job feeding animals.

He didn't make enough money.

He didn't have enough food.

He was so hungry.

He thought that his father's servants had so much food they couldn't eat it all.
He decided to go back to his father.

He traveled back to his father's house.

When he arrived, he said to his father," I am no longer worthy to be your son.  I have made a terrible mistake by leaving here.  Treat me as one of your servants."
His father ran to him and hugged him.

He said to his servants, " Go and get the best robe I have.  Bring it here and put it on him.  We will have a big dinner to celebrate."

The other son went to his father and said, " Father, it isn't fair.  I have stayed with you and worked hard all these years and you celebrate when my brother comes!"

The Father said, "Son, you are always with me.  You have everything that I have.  It is right to celebrate now because it was as if your brother was lost but now he is found."

That was a wonderful story, wasn't it?
Do you think that is how God feels?
Do you think God wants to celebrate when we do as we should?
What do you think?
