Martha and Mary were sisters.

They invited Jesus to come to their home and have dinner.

They were so happy when he agreed.

Martha was worrying over the great big dinner that she was preparing.

She was fussing and fretting.

Mary stayed with Jesus.

She wanted to hear all that he had to say.

She wanted to learn.

Martha came into the room where Jesus and Mary were.

She looked upset.

She said to Jesus, "Do you think its fair that I do all the work while my sister just sits here?  Tell her to come and help me."

Jesus knew that Martha had made herself upset with fretting about the huge feast.

He smiled at her.

He kindly said, "Martha, dear friend, there is really only one thing to be concerned about.  Mary has discovered it.  I wont take it from her."
