Jesus teaches us about adultery. This is mostly for married people. When two people get married, they promise to share their love only with each other. They must keep that promise.Go back to Sermon on the Mount
When people aren't married, this teaching reminds us to honor ourselves and be sincere with our friends.
We should be a true friend and not break promises and not lead our friends to break their promises. We should respect our friends and the friends of our friends.
Jesus tells us to not do anything which may cause us to make God sad. If we see something that belongs to our friend and we want to take it, that is a bad thing. We should just look the other way. Leave it alone, don't touch it, don't look at it.
We have to respect our friends and their friends. That makes Jesus happy.
