Lullaby of the Rain

Little raindrops, gently falling
In the shadows of the night,
Lull me into pleasant slumber
'Til beginning of daylight.

In the stillness of the nighttime,
Plant in me a faith that's bold,
And in place of erring mischief,
Set a heart of purest gold.

Little messengers from Heaven,
As you kiss the goldenrod,
Let me dream until tomorrow
In the loving arms of God.
Frankie Davis Oviatt

May he be like rain coming
down upon the fields,
like showers watering
the earth.
Psalm 72:6
