Our Blessed Mother

First Sorrow:

       The Prophecy of Simeon

On the eighth day after the Birth of Jesus, Joseph and Mary took Jesus to the Temple in Jerusalem to be consecrated to God.
Simeon had been told by the Holy Sprit that he wouldn't see death until he had seen the Lord Jesus Christ.  Led by the Holy Spirit, he entered the temple.   He took up the Baby Jesus and blessed God.
Turning to Mary, Simeon said, "And a sword will pierce through your own soul, also" . This was a prophecy of things to come

Second Sorrow:

       The flight into Egypt

King Herod was afraid.  He thought that Jesus may take his kingdom away from him.  He wanted Jesus dead.  He sent the soldiers to kill all the infant boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity.

However, an angel appeared to Joseph and told him to take Jesus and Mary to Egypt.

Mary felt great sorrow.

Third Sorrow:

          Jesus is Lost

Joseph and his family went to Jerusalem for the Feast of the Passover. When this was ended, Mary and Joseph couldn't find Jesus and searched for him for three days.

Fourth Sorrow:

          Jesus carries His Cross

Mary watches her beloved Son as He made His way to Cavalry.  She couldn't touch Him.  She listened to the crowd mock Him.  She watched the cruel soldiers shove Him.

Fifth Sorrow:

      The Crucifixion

The Blessed Virgin saw her Beloved Son hanging on the Cross. She witness the agony of Jesus as He hung there until he breathed His last, three hours later.

Sixth Sorrow:

Mary receives the body of Jesus from the cross

The Sixth Sorrow of the Blessed Virgin was the death of Jesus.

The nails were removed from His hands and feet, and His Holy Body was taken down from the Cross and laid in Mary's arms. He was dead.  How she longed for the laughter of His Childhood, the perfect smile on His Face.   Her Beloved Son was dead.

Seventh Sorrow:

The body of Jesus is placed in the tomb

St. Joseph of Arimathea asked for permission to bury Jesus.  His Body was placed in the tomb.
It was over.  An ocean of sorrow flooded Mary when Jesus laid in the tomb

Then pray three Hail Mary's in remembrance of the tears Mary shed because of the suffering of Her Divine Son.

Concluding prayers:
Pray for us, O Most Sorrowful Virgin, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Lord Jesus, we now implore, both for the present and for the hour of our death, the intercession of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, Your Mother, whose Holy Soul was pierced during Your Passion by a sword of grief. Grant us this favor, O Savior of the world, Who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.

Our Mother grants seven graces to the souls who honor her daily by saying seven Hail Mary's and meditating on her tears.
1. I will grant peace to their families.
2. They will be enlightened about the divine mysteries.
3. I will console them in their pains and I will accompany them in their work.
4. I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my divine Son or the sanctification of their souls.
5. I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives.
6. I will visibly help them at the moment of their death, they will see the face of their Mother.
7. I have obtained (This Grace) from my divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and dolors, will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son and I will be their eternal consolation and joy.
