Angels of the Bible

 The Shepherds

The Angels come to the shepherds.

It was the night that Jesus was born.

Some shepherds were in the fields watching their flocks.

A very bright light appeared.

Then they saw an angel.

The shepherds were afraid.

"Don't be afraid," said the angel. " I bring you good news.  Today in Bethlehem, your Savior has been born.  He is a baby, wrapped in strips of cloth, lying in a manger."

Then the angel left.

The shepherds were close to Bethlehem.

"Let's go to Bethlehem," said the shepherds.  "Let's see our Savior."

What do you think?

Would you have been afraid?

Would you have believed the angels?

Why were the angels there?

What was the good news the angels had?

Write to me and tell me what you think, BUT, ask your parents first.

Let's say a prayer:

Dear God,
Thank you for sending the angels to us.
Thank you for making them your messengers.
Help me to always trust in you and to remember
to always say my prayers.
This I ask through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Luke 2:8-15.
